Space Engineers 2 bets its next update on cars, robots and explosions (store.steampowered.com)
Space Engineers 2 is a voxel sandbox where you build spaceships and bases block by block, then fly and fight them. It's been in Early Access since early 2025, and Keen has just dated its biggest content drop yet: VS2.3, landing July 6 with drivable vehicles, automation and things that explode.
The catch is that players can't agree what they're buying. Some call the foundations exceptional for an alpha; others say it still runs like a tech demo, and a vocal group is furious that parts were built with generative AI.
