Someone built all of Switzerland in Minecraft at one block per meter, for CHF 15
Blocks generates 41,285 square kilometers of Swiss terrain from open geodata, with the Dufour peak at 4,634 blocks tall.
The 24 GB world runs on Minecraft Java 1.12.2 with the Cubic Chunks mod and can be sampled free in the 2,400 km2 Jungfrau-Aletsch area.
A commenter noted Denmark did the same thing in 2014 as a government project.
One block, one meter

Blocks is generated by program from swisstopo data, with Copernicus 30 m data beyond the border. Buildings are simplified, and the project says some bridges, roads and trees are wrong. Chunks generate on first visit. The full world costs CHF 15 or more, and the free Jungfrau-Aletsch area is about 1.1 GB.

"Denmark did this in 2014 and didn't need a pile of LLM puffery to do it" — a commenter linking Denmark's 2014 geodata project
"Recently I've gotten to a point where I am put off when a clearly vibe coded website asks for money." — a DevOps engineer
The practical test is the free tile: try Jungfrau-Aletsch on your hardware before paying for a full country at 16 GB RAM recommended.
