Someone built all of Switzerland in Minecraft at one block per meter, for CHF 15 (blocks.manifold3d.ch)
The 24 GB world runs on Minecraft Java 1.12.2 with the Cubic Chunks mod and can be sampled free in the 2,400 km2 Jungfrau-Aletsch area.
A commenter noted Denmark did the same thing in 2014 as a government project.
