Mistral published the weights of Large 4, a 1-trillion-parameter mixture-of-experts model with about 52B active parameters, priced at $0.70 per million input tokens on its own API. The licence is a modified MIT that bars anyone running a Model-as-a-Service business from using it commercially without a separate deal.

A commenter who pasted that clause called the 'open' label misleading; others answered that nobody expected more.
